MN the #1 Thread in Canadiens Forum: In Content & Now in Post Count

First on to business…the Sens are on a hot streak, and are hosting us at home. If we play the style of game we did against Philly, chances are we’re toast. If we bring our A game, we got this. So which team will it be Carb…the one who faced the Thrashers or the one who faced the Flyers? This inconsistency has to stop some day, but to be short sighted for a day, I just hope we pick up the W tonight, before going in to an even hotter Detroit.

I am looking forward to seeing the continued domination of the third line, and for the second line to pick up on those promising plays it had with their new Center on Thursday. Ryder seems to be out of his slump, which means the first line will bring their “A” game, thus giving us three lines to roll with, two awesome PP lines to throw at the opponents, and a PK unit that seems indomitable.

On a side note, congratulations to the MN thread in the Montreal Canadiens forum for having taken the #1 spot. I know of a few users in there who had their heart set on it since day one. Most of us didn’t think it would be possible, but they stuck with it, so  to you guys.

Many thanks to the MN-executive who has been making the MN-blog a success. It has already come in hand on many occasions, and HTL’s Maple Leaf fan quote of the day…well can any of you think of a better way to start your day than by checking that out in the morning?

P.S. Remember to get your predictions in early people...today the time limit is 2:00P.M. Good luck to you all!

Now why can't the Habs do that? And Why did this happen to the Habs?

Out-checked, out-muscled, out-scored... out-played in almost every facet of the game of hockey... p-i-t-i-f-u-l effort.

Well at least we didn't lose 10-2 to the Leafs... eh?

This should serve as a wake-up call for Bob Gainey, Carbo and his coaches. Something is wrong in Habs-Habitat! 4 out of 6, 4 out of 6... a trend is developing. And its the way that they are losing this type of game that does not bode well IMO. Kiss another 4-point night bye-bye!

When the going got tough the Habs didn't have anyone tough enough to get going... nor a system that could help the players adjust to the way teams are starting to play them. Toronto, Florida, Washington, Tampa and now Ottawa have all used a tough, hard-nosed strong forecheck with constant pressure to cause multiple errors before the Habs know what has hit them.

The Habs were not given any respect whatsoever... why? Are they soft?

The Senators were the better prepared team and knew exactly what they had to do and did it with a vengence. The secret on how to beat the Habs is out and spreading... and there is no plan B when it is happening. No time-out to regroup and adjust... why?

Carbo can think of himself as being a players' coach, go public and call out his players and forget he was the one who said he wanted one big happy family. But he's forgot one thing in doing this IMO... you win as a team and lose as a team and he's the Leader of the team and has to accept some of the blame. And maybe the greatest part of the blame. This is his team, his selection of coaches, his system, his decision making.
